Preventing Damage to a Hardwood Floor by Molyneaux

A Hardwood floor is a natural product, and it is not indestructible. It’s best to evaluate the wear on a floor before it is installed. Large dogs whose nails will scratch the floor, and small children, and high heels can all cause damage. Doug Robinson, of Certified Carpet Distributors, Inc. (distributors of carpet, hardwood, ceramic, and vinyl flooring materials) also explains “picture framing” — the discoloration that can occur under an are rug or piece of furniture in an area exposed to a lot of sunlight. Learn how you can prevent damage to your hardwood floor. i am a floor covering installer and recently did a vinyl installation for a floor covering store in a customers home. the customer paid the full price for the vinyl and the labor in advance to the floor covering store. i worked very late for two days to insure the customers inconvenience was minimal, as i always do. the customer was very pleased when the work was finished. she even called the store and let them know how pleased she was with the quality of the installation. well it’s time for the store to pay me now and i seem to be having a problem getting my money from the owner. he is claiming he has never paid me the price per yard that i put on my bill, before, which is not true. so there is the dispute that is started. he and i argued back and forth and i told him yes he has paid me the same rates on several of the jobs that i have done for him in the past.he said he could pull my old invoices and i said go ahead, i still have reciepts from my old invoices as well which prove he has paid me the same rates before. i asked him if he would like me to bring them to him and then he hung up on me. when i tried to call him back he wouldn’t answer. this owner of this store is not professional to say the least, but he has always paid me in the past so i figured as long as he will pay me i will keep on doing work for him. i do know that several of his distrubuters have cut off his credit and make him pay cod for all of his shipments of carpet and materials.he has also moved to a smaller store just recently which indicates to me that he has been having financial problems, but like i said he has always paid me before so that’s why i decided to keep doing his jobs.not bragging on myself here but i do know for a fact that i’m his best installer, having worked for him for three years now with not one call back on any of my jobs’ so in my opinion , in his financial situation’ he would be a fool to loose me by not paying me. today i will know if i will get paid or not’ as i plan on trying to contact him, but i would like to prepare for the worst because i know there is a first time for everything. is there anything legal that i can do to make this guy pay me?
