In this episode we follow the progress of the professional floor layer as he takes us through the process on “how to lay vinyl flooring” on a new “power floated concrete slab.” A two part, one coat DPM (damp proof membrane) epoxy system containing the exact Quantities of resin and hardener, are used for suppressing residual construction moisture in cementitious subfloors enabling floor coverings to be installed earlier in building projects. This is required, as the slab has only been laid about 4 weeks prior to the vinyl flooring being laid. Vinyl Floor Maintenance 239-596-9696, Waxing, Buffing, Polishing Naples The most cost effective way to maintain your flooring is by a process known as a monthly machine scrubbing followed by recoating (or scrub and recoat). This is done by a thorough sweeping and dust mopping of the floor followed by a machine cleaning with a specific product formulated for this purpose. This will thoroughly clean the floor finish without removing it. Following the machine cleaning, the floor is then triple rinsed followed by an application of one coat of SC Johnson floor finish. The type of floor finish depends on your specific needs. This process needs to be performed a minimum of once per month. Your situation may require more than this process alone.

We have recently redone my bedroom. We are looking at new flooring where the carpet is now. The two floorings we are looking at are both vinyl plank floorings found at Home Depot. I would like to know the pros and cons of each and the one that is better. I want to take into account ease of installation, final overall look of the product, and how long the flooring will last. I know that Allure Ultra is a slide and lock type of flooring and that the regular allure involves glue. I also know that Allure Ultra is .98 a sq. ft. and the other Allure is .99 a sq. ft. I would like some more insight. Please don’t answer unless you are knowledgable about these floorings. I just want to get the most bang for my buck!
